Dr. Vasu N. Murthy, MD

Dr. Murthy is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice, with added qualification in Primary Care Sports Medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, then his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia (now Georgia Regents University) in 1998.

He completed his family practice internship in 1999 and residency in 2001 at Forest Park Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. He then completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine in 2002 at the University of Oklahoma College of Health Sciences in Oklahoma City. Dr. Murthy has been practicing family medicine in Athens since 2006.
