Universal Body Shop and Collision is a family owned business founded in 1994 by Alfredo Monzalvo with the goal of establishing a body shop in our community that would provide complete service at a great price without sacrificing excellent workmanship, quality product and a speedy delivery.
Due to an increase in business and a steady growth in repeat customers, Universal Body Shop and Collision relocated in 2010 to its present location in the heart of Doraville.

The central area of the new location and the accessibility by public transportation as well proximity to a major highway has allowed us to better serve you and the community in the last year.
Alfredo Monzalvo
The original founder of the company, he has been in the business for 32 years and is the master technician at Universal.

From working for Ford Motor Company assembling vehicles and taking care of minor imperfections, to car accidents that require chassis repair that can only be performed by highly trained technicians, he has done it all!
He has extensive knowledge is his field, from custom classic cars to exotic vehicles, there is no job too challenging for him.

Sergio Monzalvo
Following in his father’s foot steps, he completed training for Lexus, BMW, Volvo, Nissan, Mercedes, and Jaguar.
After 4 years of training, he returned to Universal with the desire to help his father promote his shop and continue to expand the family business.
He is in charge of the production and management of the shop and is responsible for most of the office work on a daily basis.

An outstanding job. Started on a Monday Car returned to me on a Friday of same week. I was astounded at the quality of workmanship Leaving no detail overlooked, my BMW was detailed. for a 6 yo X3 it looked brand new. My hat is off to these guys. And the repair charge was very reasonable

Carstar did a fantastic job on repairing my 2021 Nissan Kicks SR. I had been involved in a hit-and-run on I-285 on Monday morning while I was on my way to a site location for work. Where I drive for work using my personal vehicle, I could not be without it for an extended period of time. The auto body repair shops are still dealing with supply chain issues from the Covid pandemic shutdowns, so the shop that I have used for most of my adult life could not get me in before late December. That was not acceptable, I could not be driving a rental for work for almost 2 months before my car would even be seen. I worked with my insurance company, State Farm insurance and they recommended Carstar, because they said that they were Nissan certified. I called Carstar up at their Doraville location, and I explained the situation. They told me to bring my car in immediately, and once the insurance was finished processing the start of the claim, it would be finished in about a week as long as they were able to get the parts. I dropped my car off on Tuesday morning and was picked up by enterprise rental car. Carstar was able to get my Nissan’s parts fairly quickly, so within a week and a half my car was repaired and back in my position. Carstar did a fantastic job on the repairs to my vehicle. Before the accident, my car was flawless, I had purchased it brand new and there was no dents, dings, etc. in it. Carstar got my car back to the same pristine condition that it was in before the accident. I highly recommend Carstar if you need to have any kind of bodywork done on your vehicle, and need to get it back quickly…these are the guys that you need to be going to! These guys are awesome and they know how important it is to get your vehicle back to the condition it was in before your accident, and they know how important a vehicle is to someone’s employment. Whether you just drive to, and from work, or you’re like me where you drive all over Atlanta for work, place your trust in them, because they are worthy of it and they will get you back to where you need to be! A+++++++++++++

CARSTAR went above and beyond repairing my vehicle. I was truly wowed with the effort they put into it. Great shop I would recommend to anyone.
