Country’s Barbecue North is a full service barbecue and country cooking restaurant with great service and barbecue cooked on an open pit. We love large parties and have a great neighborhood party halloween. All Country’s are very active in the community . Since our opening, in 1975, Country’s has done everything the hard way; some things we meant todo that way, some we didn’t. Preparing our food is one thing we always meant to do the hard way…no short cuts.

Our barbecue is cooked fresh, at each location, over hickory and oak, our brunswick stew takes two days to make from scratch…in fact, almost everything is made right here, even our pies. We squeeze fresh lemons for the lemon pie and lemonade. Our french fries are fresh cut in the restaurant and our salads are cut fresh with no preservatives added. We use top quality pork, all federally inspected and our hamburger steaks are made from 100 % Black Angus.

Whenever I’m in Columbus I try to stop at Country’s. My go to is the Brisket with Shoop Sauce. However, the pork is also very good. Portions are good sized, the cost is reasonable, and love the Americana decor.

Every 4 or 5 weeks I get a craving for Country’s Barbecue. I announce to my husband, “Let’s make a Country’s run,” and he’s always ready! ” We live in Covington, Georgia, about 30 minutes east of Atlanta so it’s a good little ride. We have been doing this for over 25 years. Always good food, good service and good people. I am allergic to pepper, so the mildest sauce is my favorite. They have other sauces right up to Back Fire sauce, which my sister-in-law loves. We always enjoy our times at Country’s and will always come back. We recommend it to anyone heading that way. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!!

The best BBQ and southern cooking!!! Local folks since 75 with three locations… Mercury drive is the best location. Great desserts too. Banana pudding divine. The only thing I’ve ever had that I wasn’t wild about was the ribs. I’ve seen others say the same. The Sweet tea is the best you ever had. We are on our way now. Friday night tradition. Sweet potato soufflé …:)

So good I didn’t get a photo of my plate. The staff was very friendly and fast. I got the brisket sandwich and it was awesome. The BBQ sauce was great and the brisket wasn’t tough to chew at all. The prices are extremely fair for the amount of food received. Highly recommend to anyone who likes barbeque. Better than Smokey bones and you don’t spend a fortune.
