I went in for a MRI. At that time the young lady said I need to pay $180. I asked to reschedule because I didn’t have it at the time. She rescheduled me, then I asked if they do affirm. She said no but we have a program that can help. She told me to fill this form out and return to the department where it goes. My niece said she would help me pay, so I figured I’d leave the help for someone else, but the day before my service, I got a call saying I needed to fill out the paperwork and return it. The young lady didn’t even tell me at the beginning that she was giving me help so how was I to know that I had to do this. Now they call to tell me I can’t get the help.

The nurses and office staff were amazing. The breast biopsy radiologist was just ok. Would prefer a little more empathy and better bedside manner during this type of sensitive procedure. The worst part was not being called with my results and having to go into my portal and read my pathology report myself to find out my results. Candler stated that my OB would get the report and call me. My OB stated the radiologist who did the procedure should have called. When I had a biopsy 10 years ago at Southcoast, the radiologist who did the procedure called me directly with the results. I think Candler dropped the ball and the radiologist should have followed through with me, his patient.

We haven’t been in the area long and we’ve had experience with the ER for Memorial and St. Joe. This was our frat dealing with Candler and it was great. Everyone was so friendly and kind, went out of their way to help us and take care of us while my wife was preparing for, going through, and recovering from surgery. The area was clean and neat and like I said, the staff couldn’t have been any better.

Finally home. I just need to give a shout out to the Chandler outpatient surgery staff. They were so awesome during this hard time. I didn’t get all there names but I definitely gotta show them some appreciation. They took care of me and comforted me with nothing but compassion. From the registration clerk to the anesthesiologist, They did that and I owe them for it.
