Burrito Loco catered a lunch for my company and it was great! They set up a ‘build-your-own’ fajita bar with Mexican rice, black beans, steak, chicken, quest, lettuce, pick, sour cream, salsa, and chips. I had two chicken fajitas with chips and salsa. The chicken had wonderful flavor and the salsa was simple and perfect! Everybody around me seemed to really enjoy the food as well. Can’t wait until they cater another lunch for us!

Finally a great Mexican restaurant in the south. If you are from California and are looking for a good Mexican restaurant come here. Nothing smothered in ground beef gravy. Just good steak, chicken and carnitas wth cilantro, onions and corn tortillas. Everything was delicious – I’ll be back here next time I’m in town.

Best Burritos in town!! Love this place! My favorite is the Burrito Al Carbon! Very good and always more than enough to eat! And customer service is top notch. I always feel welcomed and taken care of. Super sad we moved, but will definitely stop in and eat when we come back to town!

So I stopped by on my way to visit some friends in Augusta. Personally, being from California, I am very skeptical of any so-called “burrito” places that are not from the west coast. Call me an elitist, but I’m just saying it how it is. However, I was still kind of craving burritos (and I had just eaten Chipotle like six times in the last week) so I checked out Burrito Loco.
Location is pretty decent – it’s only a few minutes off I-20. Area seems pretty safe and there’s ample parking. So they have two menu options – a “Build Your Own” option with burritos and quesadillas or a “pre-made” “From the Grill!” option with fajitas, nachos, and other stuff. I do like the different choices as it gives me the option to customize exactly however I want it.
The girl at the register talked me into a Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and it came with a small side salad, some rice, and some chips. Honestly, the sides were OK and pretty standard.
The best things about this place are:
(1) taste – the quesadilla was cooked to perfection: I love how they make sure to grill it enough to get that browned, crispy outside that I love. They definitely were generous with the cheese and the chicken!;
(2) the salsa bar – let me tell you that I’ve had some good salsa in my life and this place would definitely hold its own – get the Chipotle (brown salsa) if you like a little bit of heat or the Texas if you want things on the mild side. Honestly it still doesn’t compare to the west but I’m pretty sure this is the best salsa in the Southwest; and
(3) portions/value: SUPER cheap. You can get filled up for under $8? That’s pretty crazy.
To summarize, super cheap, decent tex-Mex food with a lot of options. Definitely a go-to place when I drive by this place again.

While I haven’t eaten in the restaurant, I did enjoy their catering at work the other day where they provided a taco bar for 250 people. Coming from a large family, I would argue that cooking for a crowd is way harder than getting one burrito right for one person, and they did great. The veggies were crisp and fresh, and the beef tacos were tender. An added bonus, there was enough cheese sauce for seconds (because we all know that not having to skimp on the cheese sauce is key). Thumbs up, and if I am every out in Covington, I will definitely stop by!
