Dr. Straughn is from Washington D.C.. She pursued undergraduate studies at Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University, receiving her undergraduate degree from Stanford. She received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by residency training at Emory University.

Dr. Straughn is board certified by the American Board ofDermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been practicing dermatology for more than 20 years. Our practice strives to provide the very best dermatological care possible. We believe patient education is an important facet to our practice. I highly recommend Dr. Sherrie-Ann Straughn at Buckhead Dermatology. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Straughn is extremely knowledgeable and caring. I had some serious skin issues before going to Dr. Straughn, but in a matter of two weeks, based on recommendations of Dr. Straughn, my skin improved tremendously. I had my procedure at the College Park location on yesterday and I was completely satisfied. The staff made me feel so comfortable almost like I was family. The Dr talked me through the entire procedure and she was very reassuring. My skin issue was in a very sensitive area and I never felt uncomfortable. I can’t thank the staff enough for their work and support! Two thumbs up !!!!!!

Dr. Straughn is the best dermatologist I have had seen for my adult acne. I was recommended to her several years ago. I have not found another dermatologist who is capable of treating my skin in the manner that she has. I highly recommend her for chemical peels too.

Dr Straughn literally changed my life. I visited in the Fall of 2012 and after a year or so, I NEVER EVER looked back. I had eczema all over my body and didn’t receive proper treatment in England and also had to take a year out of school. I am grateful. Thank you. My skin is incredibly clear now.
