Wonderful Italian restaurant. Definitely make a reservation because you will have to wait even on a Thursday night. Good bartender so you can get good drinks while you wait. We sat outside with our drinks while we waited for our table.
Had the calamari which was yummy. The red sauce was very tasty and the squid was great. Squid can become chewy but here. The flavor combination is great. The olives gave the sauce a kick.
Saw the squid ink is a popular dish but our server said that it’s spicy (glad he gave me a heads up) so I decided to get the risotto. The risotto has ample amount of crawfish and it is so good! My son had the southern fried chicken parm which was also wonderful.
My friend had the four course meal that the Chef changes daily. Wow! I tasted his meals and everything he had was great! Your taste buds will be happy. It’s a good deal for $70. Each meal came with wine so it’s worth the money.
For dessert we had the gelati and cookies. The vanilla and chocolate gelati were so good. Real bolt flavors and cookies were soft and crumbly. Great end to a flavorful meal.
The service is superb. Eddie is awesome! The atmosphere is nice. Nice well stocked bar (wish they had sangria though). Seating is spaced well.

Located in the center of Inman park, Boccalupo serves classic Italian food with a modern twist. In recent years Boccalupo has established itself as one of the top restaurants in the city.. The place is small and has less than 20 tables, so you need to make a reservation at least 1 week in advance.
When my family and I arrived at the restaurant, we were graciously led to our table situated right next to the table. When we sat down, Italian breadsticks were waiting on the table. After the breadsticks were finished, we decided to order. Our waiter was very knowlegeable andinformed, and he was able to answer all of our questions. We all ordered seperate dishes which all sounded equally fantastic. We were all blown away when my dad’s perfectly cooked and plated salmon arrived, seeing this we knew it was going to be a good night. When my food arrived, I could tell that my risotto was creamy, and my scallops were perfectly cooked. For thirty dollars, I got a dish that I won’t forget. The flavor of the tomato risotto, the corn, and the scallops mixed together flawlessly to create a pure masterpiece. I finished my own dish in 30 minutes, and I proceeded to try my parents dishes, which were just as delicious as my own.
Overall, this was a great night and I hope to visit Boccalupo many more times. The food, the ambiance, and the service were fantastic and this is now one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I walked out full, knowing this is some of the best food Atlanta has to offer.

I love this restaurant. I usually get the chef’s tasting menu and am always very happy with the food. Inventive, fresh, great combination of flavors. Just the best. The restaurant is not big and reservations are hard to come by, but once you get in you are in for a treat.
One friend does not eat meat but does eat seafood and our excellent server put together a coursed menu to follow along with the rest of us and it was incredible! I want to go back and have what she had! Service is fantastic. Good value.

I was skeptical when my son mentioned Italian to me an Italian American. What a surprise. The 20 egg pasta was delicious. All the appetizers and salads were fresh and creative. Our waiter Eddie was the best. A wonderful dining experience. I will be back.

Bocca Lupo exceeded our expectations! First of all, the recommendation on a red wine was outstanding, it was a generois pour and a great compliment to our food. We ordered the pasta and the fish special and both items were delicious. Pasta sauce was a great ragu and the quality of ingredients made a big difference. Fish was cooked perfectly in a beurre blank sauce that was so delicious. When check came, a great value!

We’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed. The entree menu is limited but everything is interesting and prepared perfectly. It’s a short walk to Krog Street Market and the Beltline from here. The 20 yolk tagliatelle and the black spaghetti are iconic here. The servers are passionate and knowledgeable about the wine list and the food choices.

Food was awesome and coffees were great! Took us 15 mins to get seated on a Tuesday morning at around 9:40AM. By the time we left there were multiple parties waiting to be seated, so def go early otherwise you’ll have to wait. Overall, the restaurant was clean and I love the decorations/paintings on the walls. The only thing was that it was quite loud, maybe because it’s summer time and all the kids are out. Would totally go back again if I’m in the area.

I grabbed the last stool at the bar around 8pm on a Wednesday night. Not too long after I sat multiple spots opened up so it wouldn’t be too hard to get seating with a small wait. The bartenders were friendly and provided me with their favorites from the menu. They have a nice cocktail menu but seem to be more well known for their wine selections. I started with a beautiful, picture worthy cocktail that was light, frothy, and delicious. I had come with my mind made up about getting the 20 yolk pasta based on reviews but the server really expressed that her favorite was the chicken liver ravioli so I ended up going with that. It was a beautifully served dish with so many different colors and elements and shapes to the dish. And it was a nice serving too. Sometimes I get worried with ravioli that there will be like 3 on the plate but this was a healthy portion. And at $17-19 for all their main entrees, this place is extremely reasonably priced.

Wow, where to begin… Service was amazing and so knowledgeable. We had the squid as an app that could have easy been a meal. I thought it could not have been more perfect at that point. I was completely wrong. I had read about the chicken liver ravioli with fresh field peas and had to try it. Just know I have eaten the best of the best all around Atlanta, and this meal now ranks Top 3 meals I have EVER had!!! Hands down.

My new fave Italian in ATL! It’s a non pretentious exquisite Italian dining spot with superb service!! The star of the Show is the chicken liver ravioli (def a must!) but pretty much everything you order here is grrrreat!!! Their wine selection is on point and overall the prices are very reasonable!

BoccaLupo is one of my favorite restaurants to go for a date night with my husband. For appetizers I would recommend the roman cauliflower, and grilled octopus. They even give you homemade breadsticks that are pretty tasty. For main courses, I typically get the southern fried chicken parm or black spaghetti! But honestly, everything on their menu is great. It’s an eclectic twist on Italian food and every few months they seem to introduce a new menu item which is fun. You will need to book a reservation in advance to get a table or you can grab a seat at the bar which is usually what we do. The mixologists are amazing and fast. The ambiance is romantic and cozy. Love this place!

We were craving good Italian food, but didn’t expect THIS! Absolutely amazing dishes, and impeccable service. We will be back very soon. My boyfriend won’t stop talking about how much he loved it. We will be bringing his parents here next month when they’re in town!
If you go, try the roasted peach with bourbon gelato for dessert

Incredible dining experience at BoccaLupo. Each course got better and better. I look forward to going back!
Last night (Saturday) my boyfriend and I went to BoccaLupo for the first time. It definitely will not be our last time. The experience and food were amazing. We opted to do the four course tasting menu, I did not see this option on their website and was pleasantly surprised when our fantastic waiter told us about the option. It’s four courses for 80 dollars per person and the menu changes nightly. The food was inventive and delicious. Each course got better and better. Not pictured was the secondi course of bone in lamb over succotash with a fried squash blossom- it was my favorite of the meal and left me full but wanting more.
The wine menu is small but very reasonably priced. All white wine bottles were under 80 dollars. Highly recommend making a reservation.
Go eat here! You will definitely enjoy the experience.

My boyfriend has been dying to come here and we finally did. Reservations were not hard to snag on resy.
I peeked on eater and the AJC and Bon appetit before we got here so I knew we should get the black spaghetti or the tasting menu. I went for the black spaghetti and my boyfriend went for the tasting menu and we also got 2 appetizers. The fried cauliflower was delicious. And so was the first course to the tasting menu (don’t remember its name). We ordered way too much for our first time here but this was the best meal we’ve had since going out to gun show so we didn’t regret ordering a lot. Every course we had was delicious and not too heavy for Italian food. And the cacciatore sauce was so good I’ll probably dream about it for days…
The restaurant is upscale but still down to earth. My boyfriend worked at domenica (in NOLA, a similar style Italian restaurant) and said this place is just as good if not better than domenica. We could’ve worn jeans here and it would’ve been OK. Service was good. Our waiter was super nice and knowledgeable of the menu and portion sizes, plus he brought out stuff with each course so it wouldn’t just be my boyfriend eating alone haha. The restaurant had a nice vibe with candles and a more intimate feel. Overall the food and service was great. We’d definitely come back again for a special occasion but scale back on how much food we ordered :)

great little fancy restaurant in a more casual setting. our waiter offered us great recommendations and helped guide us to chose great dishes. the 20 yolk tagliatelle was our favorite, however everything was delicious! it was hot sitting in the outside patio, even being closed in. I’ll ask to sit inside next time, however the food was worth it! the black spaghetti had an amazing flavor but the creme cheese panna cotta stole the show!

Came in on a busy Saturday night with no reservation and was sat at the bar within 20-25 minutes. Patience is a virtue, especially in this place. I have never felt so taken care of in a restaurant. The bartenders were stellar and so were the wait staff. My boyfriend stopped a waitress to ask about a meal and although she was in a rush she made time to come back and give us a full description of what she was carrying. BoccaLupo has the guest experience on lock. Amazing food, excellent service, and great music. Will be returning to try the tasting menu.
