I’ve been coming here for the last 2 years. Located right next to Kale me Crazy in the heart of midtown it’s just a short walk for me to get my workout on. They do validate parking for the deck on Juniper right before the street Blast is on (theres a Blast logo included on the sign along with lots of other restaurants in that block).
This is a bootcamp style workout class with the class divided into blocks on the treadmill and blocks on the floor that provide solid cardio and strength training in 1 hr. The blocks vary in time depending on the class but each block consists of treadmill and floor exercises so you are constantly switch between the 2. The treadmill portion has suggested runner, jogger, and walker speeds you can follow or adjust to what suits you best. The floor exercises vary depending on the class and instructor but usually have blocks for upper body, lower body, and core. They have tons of variations in their exercises so no 2 classes are the same but you always burn and insane amount of calories!
Also once you get to know the instructors their style and musical tastes vary slightly. Jose and Broderick are my favorite because I love their hiphop/latin music. All the classes are a great work out! Also every class has a trainer who sets up and cleans up, switches out weights for you, sets up the treadmills for the next block, and even refills your water bottle! The trainers are definitely the key to a smooth workout! Unlike Barry’s bootcamp or orange theory you’re not wasting time during your transitions or workout gathering equipment or getting more water. If bootcamp/HIIT styles classes are your thing this is the studio for you!

I have been to BLAST once and it was a great workout! They combine cardio and strength training into one instead of focusing on one or the other.
You start at either the treadmill or the strength area. I started at the treadmill and the speed ranges are divided into three (walker, jogger, runner) which change with time. You can decide whether you want to be in the walker, jogger or runner range.
After some time, you switch to strength training where the focus is on weights and core exercises.
The rhythm of the exercises on the treadmill and the strength area is such that you don’t realize when the time passes by.
Amazing workout! I rarely sweat and this workout made me sweat. Will be back again.

I AM OBSESSED. This was my first time doing Blast and I left feeling better than ever. My instructor Justyn was great at keeping the class at a good pace, instructing a good workout, and also keeping everyone motivated. I love that they provide towels and water for each person, and that there is someone assisting the class who is constantly helping grab different weights or refilling water bottles while you are working out so you don’t miss a beat. The workout itself is great as well. You alternate between a treadmill and floor exercises so you really get it all. I really loved how there were different paces (runner, jogger, walker) for the treadmill so that you could go a little slower if needed or really challenge yourself if you want. The room seems small at first, but you have plenty of room to move around and do everything the workout entails. I do wish that their classes were a bit cheaper, but that’s Atlanta for you. Overall I cannot wait to go back to Blast.

I love how the staff at BLAST does all the thinking for me, with scientifically-based workouts designed to maximize my personal overall output, while allowing me to gauge the intensity level that’s best for me. The dynamism of each class keeps me pushing far beyond where I would get in a workout by myself, even in the lowest BLAST threshold. They give great instruction on form and moving back and forth from cardio to resistance and strength training keeps me engaged throughout the full hour.

Very good workout! Jasmine the front desk girl was super helpful and answered all my questions. The facilities are clean and well stocked with everything you need you honestly don’t need a gym bag unless you are changing clothes to go to work. During the class they have another assistant trainer to help correct your form and motivate you. I will definitely be going back!!!
