BEST Academy is a progressive and diverse early learning center. The idea for a quality, affordable early learning center came from the hearts and minds of Bob and Nancy Isaacson. They have created a truly special and unique learning environment.

The couple has lived in Savannah for 25 years and raised four daughters here. They wanted to give something back to the community that has given them and their children so much over the years.

At BEST Academy our curriculum is framed by the Science Start program, developed in Rochester, New York. Science Start is an integrated curriculum that teaches all subject areas through science experiments.

This is the most natural way for young children to learn because science is the exploration and investigation of the world around us, and young children learn this way instinctually every day.

There are five modules taught throughout a twelve-month school year cycle. The modules are: measurement and mapping, color and light, properties of matter, neighborhood habitats, movement and machines.

We were so lucky to be a part of best academy. My son was there for 3 years and learned so much from his teachers. They have a great outdoor area which includes a vegetable garden that the children can take part in. They really keep you up to date about your child’s progress and they give you the opportunity to get involved with your child’s activities. A really great place and I can’t say enough. My child attends this daycare facility, and we couldn’t be happier with the care that is provided. All of the staff are kind and dedicated. The food is NOT “typical cafeteria fare”. My child is fed a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack every day. Please disregard the other reviews — the owners couldn’t be nicer, and we can’t say enough great things about this facility.

Our almost-2-year-old is thriving at Best Academy. He is learning so much (letters, numbers, nature, social skills) and the teachers are kind and lovely. The playground is spacious and we are so happy to have found Best Academy!

I knew I wanted my son at Best Academy long before he was born, even before I was pregnant. I studied child development in my undergraduate program, and had heard great things since they first opened. From the delightful staff to the developmentally appropriate activities such as music time for all ages (even my infant son enjoys it), Best was definitely the right choice for us, and for our friends. We recommend Best to everyone we know looking for quality child care.
