Bacchanalia is a lovely restaurant located in Westside. Elegant, yet simple. Frances will greet you at the door with a warm smile. The dining room is elegant, but casual and unpretentious. Bacchanalia knows who it is and doesn’t try to be anything else. It is a set menu, but everyone will find something delightful. The cheeses are excellent and a lot of the vegetables come from their private farm. The bread service is usually four breads consisting of sour dough, pretzel, potato and rye, and a banquette. Two large dollops of local whipped butter topped with coarse sea salt accompanies the bread. There are about six choices in each of the course selections. The foie gras torchon is easily the best in town. The crab fritter has always been a favorite of our entire family. It is a crab fritter surrounded by petite avocado slices, grapefruit, Thai essence, and vanilla salt. When selecting an item from the cheese course, do not get the prepared dishes. They will tell you that it’s the same amount of cheese you get with the cheese selections, but it’s about half. The selection of cheese comes with bread, thinly sliced green apples, pistachio butter, and honey. For dessert, you cannot go wrong. They are all lovely, but the chocolate soufflé is a standout. You can follow up with a coffee or after dinner drink. Enjoy!

We had a really great time here. What you’re paying for at Bacchanalia (and boy are you paying!) is more than a meal, it’s an experience. Each course offers a variety of interesting options to choose from, and all of the ones that we tried were tasty. The food here could be called “experimental,” so expect to try food combinations that you’ve never had, heard of, or thought of before. Even though nothing was “the best thing I ever ate,” every course was delicious, interesting, and high quality.

The food was really good…fresh, unique, and delicious. It was a fixed price of $95 per person that included four courses (several wonderful choices in each course…hard to decide!). They also provided several other items (bread, bites, smoothie shot, etc.) So you don’t go away hungry!
The crab fritter is a don’t miss…really tasty. With cocktails and a bottle of wine it can get a little pricey, but worth it imo.
Service was impeccable. Christian our main waiter was wonderful, with suggestions and explanations as needed. There must of been seven other staff that attended to us at some point as well!

A truly memorable experience!
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Bacchanalia and enjoyed every moment of it.
It is true that the location is somewhat unexpected and remote from the city centre but once inside it is irrelevant. We had a very attentive staff from the moment we walked in until we paid. It is so good to see such experienced people take care of you and how seamlessly they immediately adjusted the set menu to our food allergies or intolerances.
Being European we sometimes struggle with the sweetness of most American dishes but no such thing here (apart from one sweet wine that was part of the pairing but it was swiftly changed for another variation), as the dishes were all well balanced between sweet, vinegary, bitterness on the one hand, and the variation of textures on the other hand (I have never had such a simple thing as green beans cooked so well for example).

What a memorable, delicious meal! Bacchanalia is pricey, but the food really was wonderful and interesting! The staff was great—very attentive (even coming by to fold a cloth napkin while my spouse was in the restroom), knowledgeable about the menu (our server highlighted his favorite items and changed our minds about choices we had made when viewing the menu online), and worked wonderfully as a team to make sure that every guest is important. I never felt like we were being rushed for the restaurant to turn the table. I even received some birthday cupcakes and a loaf of bread to take home! It’s a perfect special occasion restaurant!

Went to Bacchanalia a few years ago with my wife and it was really good, but we felt like it feel a little short of all the hype. Fast forward to this month, we went again to try out their new home on the Westside, and we were blown away. I sincerely could not have asked for a better experience or food. The service was impeccable. The food was perfectly portioned and prepared. I had a hard time choosing what to order because everything on the menu, within each course, sounded so good. I’ll be back very soon and highly recommend Bacchanalia. It was once the restaurant in Atlanta that received top honors every year, and if they haven’t regained that title, they certainly deserve to.

Friendly wait staff, accommodating to medium size groups, great drinks and appetizers. A little too high end for my taste, but def a 5 star restaurant and very eclectic. Recommended for entertaining clients and they do serve late. Only open for dinner, to my knowledge. Star provisions* is cute, but expensive. They are breakfast and lunch in the front part of the restaurant before it opens for dinner. *Super chic and cute items, fresh meat, special and unique cheeses and coffee servings among other specialties.

I had an absolutely fantastic dinner date here with two amazing people. Of course, half the battle is won with great company.. but the staff and setting of Bacchanalia made it all the more memorable an experience. e enjoyed 4 courses, with an added course (A5 Wagyu, so worth it), and several cocktails and wine pairings. I took a bite from everyone’s plate at every course… Some of my favorites- sweetbreads (these are so indulgent; perfectly prepared), white asparagus black truffle (I love anything with truffle), Sablefish (sounded boring, taste was exciting), Kenny’s Kentucky rose (!!!). I loved, loved, loved dessert here. I mean, not that you can dislike dessert anywhere – well, actually you can – but here, it’s so good. The baked Alaska isn’t set on fire here, which I was initially disappointed by because I played the Sims all the time when I was growing up. But it was great! However, the pear and the turtle are both amazing as well.

Amazing food and service! Not sure you can beat either anywhere else. It is a bit on the pricey side but if you are a foodie like me it is a non issue with the quality you get there. If you have someone in your party that is sensitive to the cold i suggest you let them know ahead of time. I had never been to the new location and we were seated next to the door. Every time someone came in or out you could really feel the cold coming in. I asked to be moved as my date is very sensitive to the cold. The staff was really excellent about it and just let us sit at the bar while we waited on a table away from the door to open up. They even brought her a blanket for her lap. Truly above and beyond. We had an amazing dinning experience.

Amazing Dining Experience. My husband and I first visited this establishment when we were dating. We returned for our 1 year anniversary and were not disappointed with the new location. We received the same exceptional service we enjoyed 2 years ago. The chef and all staff members went above and beyond to cater to my husband’s Celiacs disease modifying recipes to make them both gluten free and dairy free Ll while ensuring there was no cross contamination with gluten.

Wife and I went here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We absolutely loved it. I had the lamb and it was great. The crab cakes were fantastic. We loved the option of choosing where your oysters come from per say. Wife had the halibut. They bring out little gifts of food like pastries. We were there in the winter so they brought us out some gourmet hot chocolate. Would def go back. Great place for special occasions.

This is one of my favorite dining experiences to date. The space is beautiful, clean, and elegant without being stuffy. The service is impeccable – helpful, friendly, and unpretentious. Above all, the food was incredible. The four course Prix fixe tasting menu is a delightful experience, and unique in the fact that you choose your own courses. I started with the lobster with watermelon, cucumber, and green tomatoes and followed with lamb cooked three ways with fairytale eggplant, okra, and honey walnut sauce. For the 3rd course, the selection of 5 cheeses is the most elegant way to play with your food as you’re provided a palette of pairings ranging from membrillo paste to housemade pistachio butter and bread. Each plate arrives as a work of art and the ceramics are unique and beautiful on their own. Throughout the meal we received small gifts from the chef, delightful bite-sized amuse bouche that complemented each course. There are suggested wine pairings for each course and half glasses are available (a nice touch for those who would be far too inebriated otherwise). Our meal was spread out over the course of 3 hours and we both left amazed and stuffed. We will be back again, Bacchanalia. Thank you for an incredible celebratory meal.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food, the service, the atmosphere was all superb. The servers were knowledgeable, the sommelier was very helpful and actually suggested a less expensive bottle than the one I had in mind. The food was impeccable. I will go back there again.

Amazing experience. Excellent food though very expensive. I will say, the Service was superlative. Our group of eight spent four hours and never felt rushed. It was an incredible reunion of old friends and loved having it at Bacchanalia.

The most amazing place with friendliest service! Was in town for July 4th and stopped by here for dinner with the boyfriend. Interior is beautiful and classic. Cocktails were delicious. Having been to some of the best fine dining restaurants in NYC, this place was greatly priced and lived up to the hype. Food was phenomenal and presentation was stunning, wish I could come here more often!

The best service (hands-down) in an Atlanta restaurant. The staff knew their stuff and you can feel their passion. I rarely feel like I am eating in a Michelin-Star restaurant in the US, but this was as close as you can get. I love the intimacy and simplicity of the restaurant. I love the organic-freshness of the food…the fresh herbs are growing in containers just outside the restaurant! I loved Executive Chef Jonathan Kallini’s unique twist on traditional French recipes. The pastries and desserts where delicious and fun. The cheese assortment was amazing!! Bring your appetite and be prepared for an amazing wine selection! The new location has plenty of parking. I appreciate that the parking lot is patrolled by security and valet parking is not the only option (like some Atlanta restaurants.) I love the beautiful new Star Provisions restaurant that is in the same building. We where spoiled and we are so grateful for the kindness and generosity we where given. As a James Beard Foundation Member, I have so much respect for Chef Anne Quatrano and her support of other females in the culinary industry and the James Beard Foundation. Enjoy the Bacchanalia experience!!!

This is the best restaurant in Atlanta, and it deserves a Michelin Star. The crab fritter is exquisite, as well as the Black Cow Parmigiana. The service is also wonderful. A “must visit” restaurant in Atlanta.!

One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. After, being relatively unimpressed with the fine dining options in the city, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary execution of the Bacchanalia crew. The white truffle pasta dish was particularly pleasant and reminiscent of one of my favorite clips from Billions Season 3 Episode 3.
