Amazing experience until I met the provider. The staff at the front desk who checked me in, individual who did my triage & also individual who drew my blood were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately my visit with Lizette was one of the worst visits I’ve ever had with a medical provider. None of my questions or concerns were asked, answered, or addressed. However my decision on receiving blood products was the only thing discussed. If you desire patient centered care chose another provider or practice.

I was very pleased with my visit at Atlanta Gynecology and Obstetrics in Decatur. Annual gyn visits can be a lot sometimes, but the entire experience was amazing thanks to everyone involved: from the scheduler who took my first phone call to schedule a new patient appointment, to the front desk checking me in, to the medical assistants taking my vitals and samples, to Dr. McDiehl’s inclusivity, patience, and thoroughness, all the way to the checkout process. I also really liked the location as the parking area was very easy to navigate and the exam rooms were smaller but more comfortable for me. Everything made this a true safe space – thank you!

Today was my first office visit. I am 27 weeks pregnant and transferred over from another office (we moved and my previous OB was just too far).
Before my visit: The whole staff has been super helpful in getting me transferred over. Their insurance team was so fast and efficient in getting me my copay information. Miss Pam and Miss Jewel were very helpful and forthcoming in answering any of my questions.
Day of my visit: The whole staff was wonderful and welcoming. I met with Lizette today who couldn’t have been nicer.
I am glad I chose this practice because everyone I encountered so far has been wonderful. Their staff is kind and, most importantly, they work efficiently in their admin duties.
I recommend this office.

Dr. Kristen Oates with Atlanta Gynecology & Obstetrics is fabulous! I’ve been under her care for over three years. I’ve had regular annual visits with her, surgery, and obstetrical care as well. She has always been kind, informative, and professional. I would recommend Atlanta Gynecology & Obstetrics to any woman looking for an OB/Gyn.

I gave birth to my son about 8 months ago but life got away and I forgot to leave a review! I switched over to this office in the middle of my first trimester and was sure glad I did. I enjoyed all of the doctors that I saw and had no issues whatsoever. My favorite doctor was probably Dr. Oats.
She was the on call doctor the day my water broke and was absolutely wonderful.
BUT I have to say… Dixie was amazing. She was sweet and gentle and discussed with me what my options were and didn’t pressure me or rush me into any huge decisions, as did Dr. Oats. Dixie was the one who delivered my baby and I can’t thank her enough for the way she handled everything and how sweet she was.
Wish I hadn’t of moved so that I could continue to see her!

I have had a great experience with Atlanta Gyno. I love the fact that they have midwives who help with care of the whole person. They are not only concerned about the physical person, but the emotional person as well. From day one Valerie has been an amazing midwife. I knew as soon as I met her, that I wanted her to deliver our baby. Dr. Oates was awesome in her care for me as she ended up having to give me a C-Section so I had both of them by my side in the process. A pregnancy after a miscarrage can be a scary thing, but they helped the process with their positive attitudes, love, hugs and smiles. They also were able to tell me the truth and let me know what to expect up front. The nurses and assistants were great as well. Debra and Linda, I can’t remember all the names. I never met someone who had so much fun taking my blood and actually convinced me that it was a fun process! My whole experience was made better by just having pleasant women to deal with. I almost forgot, Dixie was apart of the process as well. She was genuine and kind. Professional yet down to earth. I will forever be connected to Atlanta Gyno!

Had a great first visit today! Incredibly friendly and professional staff, with a handsome waiting room and quality facility in back. I saw Dr. Duncan who is newer to the clinic, and she was warm, knowledgeable and efficient. The front desk even made copies of their primary care recommendations folder for me since I’m new to the area! Oh, and they even had WiFi!

I recently had my initial visit with Dr. Kristin Oates. I was impressed with every member of the staff I interacted with from the front desk to Dr. Oates. Their warmth and their empathy for the patient experience made me feel very comfortable. Two details: the phlebotomist who did my weight/height and pricked my finger mentioned that she tries to keep the experience as painless as possible. And as I was brought into the exam room, the nurse mentioned that they try not to leave patients waiting in gowns very long. Waiting in a drafty gown is no one’s favorite. And true to their word it was just a few minutes before I saw the doctor. Each comment was a very thoughtful detail…just acknowledging what the patient experience is like. For the staff who work there everyday to be able to see each patient as an individual rather than a “routine” is impressive. I look forward to my next appointment.
