At Athens Orthopedic Clinic, we pride ourselves on having state-of-the-art facilities. Some of our facilities include: an outpatient surgery center to provide for your ambulatory needs, a Physical Therapy department that is able to customize your rehabilitative care and our Urgent Care facilities, which accept walk-in appointments and provide excellent alternatives to the emergency room.

Our new Sports Performance & Rehabilitation Center (SPARC) is also booking appointments for assessments, training sessions, nutrition counseling, and therapeutic massage. Currently spanning 9 cities throughout northeast Georgia, Athens Orthopedic Clinic has got you covered. We see patients with a variety of problems that can be treated with and without surgery.

Some examples of ailments that are treated frequently within our office include (but are not limited to): tennis elbow, joint pain, broken/fractured bones, sports injuries, back pain, hip pain, muscle sprains/strains and workers compensation injuries.

The service is horrible I have been trying to get an appointment for months and no one will return my calls or answer the phone! This is truly poor service for it to be healthcare providers from the front desk to the specialist in charge of the scheduling the physical therapy department.

I’m at the point where I just requested to have my referral transferred because they are unhelpful. I spoke to Rebecca 2x all she does is transfer me with no answers or guidance. I came into the office and spoke with another lady and she said she would get ahold of the specialist and call me that day(3/29) she didn’t and did not call me.

I guess because I have VA insurance I don’t meet a priority list, because that’s all they ask me for before the transfer me or dismiss me.

Over the years, and sadly, I have had many broken bones. First was from a bad motorcycle accident in March of 2012. Many injuries and I was in Athens Regional hospital for 13 days. Dr. Ogburn skillfully performed surgery on my left clavicle and right humerus. Many screws and plates. Required extensive physical therapy which Trey Scott supervised. Even went to bat for me when the insurance people wanted to stop the physical therapy prematurely. My recovery, thanks to the AOC folks, was nearly 100%.

Next, in November 2013, I slipped on my deck and fractured my right fibula and was expertly cared for again. No surgery and just a cast. I was back at the gym working out again in just a few months. January 2015, I tripped and fell over backwards and landed on my right elbow. My humerus was shattered in many pieces. Dr. Ogburn surgically repaired it with plates and screws. And within one week the pain had subsided enough to where my pain meds were seldom needed. I attribute this to skillful surgery. As a ‘frequent flyer’ of AOC, My wife and I always have had prompt and courteous dealings with all personnel at AOC. I would not go anywhere else.

Saw Dr. Kline at this office. He was incredibly kind and gentle. You could not ask for more professional care. If you need hand surgery, or suspect you may, this is where you want to come.
