Springer and Dr. Elisabeth Lawson are our board certified Optometrists.

Dr. Russell Springer and Dr. Elisabeth Lawson provide a full range of care and treatment for your eyes. Our doctors have a combined 20 years of experience and use the best technology to best serve their patients. Dr. Springer and Dr. Lawson are also experts at removing foreign objects from your eyes. They will get you feeling better as quickly as possible when unexpected injuries occur!

We perform computer assisted eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and injury, complete contact lens services including all specialty lens products, co-management for laser and cataract surgeries, and frame styling to compliment your lifestyle. Outside prescriptions welcome.

Our Services include:

Comprehensive Eye Health Exams includes the refraction, peripheral vision tests, retinal healthiness, ocular pressure test and an overall eye health check.
Children’s exams (which should begin by age four) include tests for color blindness, eye coordination, proper focusing on near tasks and overall eye healthiness.

I absolutely love Athens Family Vision. The team is professional, friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. I’ve never experienced more than a couple minutes of wait time, and the front desk staff always asks if I’d like anything to drink. It’s such a small gesture, but one that really makes a big impact. In addition, Dr. Springer is incredibly patient. He’s never rushed through an appointment, and always ensures all of my questions and concerns are handled. I recommend Athens Family Vision to all of my Athens friends. I recently moved to Texas, and have started looking for another optometrist – which hasn’t been easy. Dr. Springer and the rest of the staff have certainly set the bar high :)

I so appreciate how punctual, professional and welcoming the staff is at Athens Family Vision Clinic for every visit.
