After having a wisdom tooth extraction procedure abruptly cancelled by another provider I randomly visited Athens Family Dental to see if they could perform my procedure ASAP because I’m booked on a cruise next month. Even though I came in without an appointment I was seen and evaluated in a matter of minutes and my procedure was scheduled for a short time later. I had the extraction performed early this week and I could not be more pleased with the care I received. Dr. Miller, Cas, and the entire team put me at ease because it was clear to see that they were all extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Even little comfort measures like a warm blanket were not missed. My aftercare instructions were clear and simple. I haven’t required anything stronger than Tylenol for discomfort but I was given prescriptions for a narcotic and an anti-emetic which I appreciated. Honestly, it was a blessing that the other provider cancelled my procedure because I found a wonderful new dental practice.

Dr Miller is the guy to go to he made my surgery experience good and comfortable the staff was outstanding….

I have been going here for a long time even when Dr Gail was here I have had the best experience here and the only place I go and now my son goes here also I want go any where else they are so nice I highly recommend

I am happy with the service this establishment provides. I don’t think patients should complain about a lack of greeting from behind the window – Sometimes, receptionists are so busy – I know because I am a client service professional at HR Block. It is ultimately the patients responsibility to approach and notify the receptionist they are present for their appointment. I found her to be very sweet – not rude at all. She was polite and well-mannered.
I am having all my teeth removed so I can wear my dentures and the staff at Athens Family Dental is amazing. When having my top teeth extracted, I felt so at ease. The surgeon was an upmost professional and was timely sensitive with my pain management. He regularly asked if I felt any anything and if so, would administer more of the numbing shot. It overall went very smoothly.
The people who work there are very welcoming and know exactly what they are doing. All the staff was exceptional in their duties. After my operation, I am having minimal soreness.
I would recommend to anyone to go to Athens Family Dental.

My son had to have a molar pulled/ cut out. They explained everything from start to finish. He has healed well, and hasn’t had any complications. (About 5 months ago)
I would trust them to do any future procedures.

Athens Family Dental staff is always polite and professional. Dr. Pate, Karen, Carmen, Kevin have all been exceptional in discussing and preparing me for upcoming procedures. My teeth were a mess and are actually pretty now. I highly recommend them for all over dental care!!!!

I went into this office on the 17th of Sept to have the rest of my teeth pulled. The doctors and nurses were very friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. I was put to sleep and do not remember how I got to the car but the nurses helped my mom with me since I was still out of it! I will be referring all my friends and family to them. Athens Family Dental is #1 in my opinion! Thank You for a WONDERFUL JOB!!!

I needed some emergency dental work on a tooth that had a crown. I have had some bad experiences with dentists in Atlanta, so I was terrified. The dental assistant, Maricela kept me informed on what would be happening and that was very calming to me. I was still anxious, but Dr. Dobberstein kept a running commentary of what was happening and corny jokes. His light-hearted approach settled my nerves and I was able to relax. It was the easiest root canal I have ever had. He was able to save the crown and therefore, save me some money.
I am happy to have a GREAT dentist in Athens.

Love this place nice nurses and receptionist. Dr. Robert Pate is awesome didn’t even feel him pull my wisdom and molar, I usually hate dentist and have anxiety attacks when going but the staff makes you feel calm.
