I’ve been waiting for Ammazza to re-open since it closed (temporarily, but very long-term) more than a year ago. I was a bit apprehensive based on the other reviews here — but my husband and I went yesterday and had a fantastic meal and a fantastic time there.
We ordered the Capricciosa pizza to share, and it was as delicious as I remember Ammazza’s food being in the past (although I hate that the Pizze Fritte have been removed from the menu with the re-opening).
Ammazza Edgewood is an awesome addition to the neighborhood (and to the city as a whole).

Had an excellent experience at Ammazza this past week! The pizza selection is great! I was very impressed by the beer selection. Not only was it reasonably priced, but they had a great variety of local and foreign craft beers…so any beer snob such as myself will find something you like.
The staff was great! Everyone friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. Great job Ammazza! Can’t wait to return!

Just fantastic. This is honestly one of my favorite places in Atlanta. I mean if you go on a weekend it’s probably a four star experience because the line is genuinely horrendous, but that just means you need to get your grub and beer on during the week. Oh darn, what an inconvenience.
What I like: the pizza, the beer selection, the atmosphere, the pizza, the pizza, seeing the oven where they cook my pizza, and washing it all down with a good craft cold one. It’s your classic Italian style pie with just a wondrously done crust. The toppings are creative and the pairing are well thought out – something for both the adventurous and the traditionalists.
