American Family Care provides high-quality, urgent care at a low cost! When you come to American Family Care you’ll be seen by a physician every time. Our professional staff of physicians, x-ray technicians and medical assistants are here to not only provide you with high quality care but a positive experience. We have a comfortable lounge to wait in, a very friendly and professional staff and state of the art equipment (including digital x-ray and a full lab) to take of all your urgent care needs.

Our mission was born out of a desire to change the way urgent health care is delivered in the United States. We believe that urgent care should be provided by highly trained physicians, backed by a well-qualified staff, in comfortable yet modern facilities. Patient Services/HomePatient Services/Acute Illness

Acute illnesses are typically those of rapid onset, brief and oftentimes, severe in nature. We have state of the art equipment and the resources necessary for acute care.

Trauma

We offer treatment for non life-threatening injuries such as cuts and fractures. Some cuts (or lacerations) must be stitched to heal correctly. Typically, fractures are diagnosed via x-ray and then the bone must be set to heal properly.

Travel Medicine

Going on a trip? We can provide you with the necessary vaccinations.

Sports Injuries

We will diagnose and treat sports-related injuries. Some common sports injuries are sprains & strains, fractured bones, cuts, and bumps and bruises. We have the full compliment of bandages, splints, casts and/or braces to ensure complete care of your injury.

Minor Surgical Care

Cuts, puncture wounds and foreign body removal are all treatable at American Family Care. Our expert staff can treat these painful injuries quickly and efficiently.

Lab Services

Need results fast? Our state-of-the-art lab will get the testing done quickly and efficiently.

You will have to wait a bit to be seen once you go through, but when you are seen, everyone on the team is so kind, helpful and patient which is exactly what is needed when you’re under the weather. They really make you feel cared for.

Always available and great with patient care and treatment

I took my daughter here when she came down with a 103F temp. She was so small at the time, only 4 months old and my wife and I were worried. First I have to say the staff was very friendly. What really struck me was how genuinely concerned they were about our fear and offered their support without asking for it first. We met Dr Kelly who was very kind and patient. She must have seen the worry on my face and even offered comfort. She didn’t have to do that but I felt that she was listening which my wife commented on later as rare and appreciated. My daughter was diagnosed with the flu but was too young for her first flu shot.

Dr Kelly gave us specific instructions on what to do and a list of warning signs and symptoms. This was extremely helpful, since it kept us out of the emergency room. Isn’t that what an urgent care clinic is supposed to do? It certainly saved us a lot of time and ultimately a lot of money. You know, my daughter is now 14 months old, is happy, healthy, and thriving. Just the other day she said her first sentence—“momma I love you!”. She’ll never know how grateful we are to have her and how kind and thoughtful her care was in one of her weakest moments. But we will not forget, for her sake. Thank you AFC. We have referred all of our friends and family since then.

Super nice place. Everyone was very pleasant I thought. They got me in to see the doctor quickly and the doctor was great. I didn’t get the impression they were trying to get me in and out to make a buck but really cared. Highly recommended.

Totally worth the wait! I would much rather wait a few minutes on a doctor who’s attentive to all of his/her patients equally than feel as though my medical needs aren’t being met or I’m being rushed by a doctor more concerned with my dollar than with me. If you want to feel like someone genuinely cares, is educationally qualified and has great bedside manners, this is where you go for your urgent care needs. The staff are friendly, attentive and are joyful in spirit which helps you feel the loving care they give by their servant hearts. WELL DONE.

My husband and I have both been here and we both had good experiences. I went on a Friday with an ear infection. I first went at around 11:00 am and there was nobody in the waiting room. I decided to leave because I wasn’t sure if it was just congestion or an ear infection. I was back at 1:40 pm and ended up being there until 3:20pm just to have a 5 minute meeting with the doctor who confirmed it was an ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. So, go earlier in the day if possible. Everyone was very nice and professional. I would definitely go back. Glad I had my phone to read and watch TV while waiting. (They have free wifi.) Turns out I could have just gone to the Nurse Practitioners at the Walgreens’ clinic, but I’m not sure if that would have been any faster. There is no pharmacy at the AFC location on Dallas Hwy in Marietta.
