Welcome to A-J’s Dockside. A-J’s Dockside Restaurant has served the finest seafood since January of 2003. We are located at 1315 Chatham Avenue on Tybee Island’s beautiful Back River. We are a casual seafood eatery specializing in fried plates with dock seating, an indoor bar overlooking the river and an indoor dining room.

Awesome! Gambo, fried flounder and shrimps were amazing, and I cannot even start to describe the 6 layer cake!

Outside on the dock was a pretty setting for a good meal. Wine selection was good and very reasonably priced. The food was really good. Salmon dip appetizer was seasoned perfectly. The fresh boiled shrimp were also nicely seasoned. Blacken mahi on my salad was excellent. Service was great. Felt like a local place right on the water. Will definitely come back when visiting Tybee

This is a must every time we come to Savannah we have to take the shirt drive out to Tybee to go to AJs Dockside! And we are down at least 5-6 times a year;) We are creatures of habit and almost always get a pound of steamed peel and eat shrimp with Old Bay! Yum!! And then we really like the conch fritters too. We have taken several friends here over the different visits and everything that we have all ordered has been great. But let’s not kid ourselves, the thing moreover than anything else that we all come to AJs for is to see the most perfect sunset! It is so worth the wait ( for a table outside) and the wait for the actual sunset. It makes you smile all the way from the inside out when you get to take I one of these breath taking sunsets!!
The ambience is so comfortable. It’s like being on someone’s deck at a family function. Open, warm and inviting. It’s decorated very vibrantly and kitschy :) love all the colorful hanging lamps and boat/beach stuff.

After visiting the Tybee Light Station, we asked a volunteer for s recommendation of a restaurant. He recommended AJs Dockside for the food and the gorgeous sunset. He was absolutely correct on both accounts! The food! Best meal we have had since we go to the area last week! You must try the BUFFALO SHRIMP! They give you 12 shrimp, this could be a meal! We then opted for the special which was Shrimp Broccoli Alfredo, excellent meal! We were stuffed and could t eat another bite! However, we brought home two pieces of Key Lime pie to eat later! They were excellent!! Our server was Tatum! She was awesome and helpful. With the food choices! And, to top off a wonderful dinner…. The wonderful sunset!
