Our vision is simple. We strive to provide excellent food and service in a comfortable environment. We want customers to enjoy the experience and leave happy, not broke or hungry. While you can’t eat ambiance, we promise you if you like the way the restaurant looks, you’ll love the food. It is all regional, fresh, hand prepared and properly served.

On a nice day, choose between our smoke-free patio or smoking garden. If a short wait is necessary, our bar area can accommodate your libation requests from iced tea to Long Island Ice Tea or you could check out our Sushi Bar!

The Pier is located at the corner of 6th and Taylor Street (Hwy 16E), a downtown location with private parking across the street. The building is in the Downtown Historic Redevelopment District. It possesses the character and charm of a bygone era while affording the comfort of a modern structure.

Our style is unabashedly Southern. Where else can you get fried green tomatoes with your rare sauteed tuna belly and mango salsa? Good Southern cooking is on par with French and Italian bourgeoise cuisine and our goal is to meet that expectation. We were established in 2009.

I had an opportunity to eat at 6th Street Pier last night and was blown away! I ordered the Shrimp and Linguine Alfredo and thought I was back on the North Carolina coast! The food was wonderful! Big, big lucious shrimp cooked to perfection, on a bed of Linguine smothered in a rich, decadent Alfredo sauce. The portion size was perfect and all of the food was hot. It was truly a majical experience, and just the first of many more I’m sure. I highly recommend this restaurant!

A terrific restaurant. I found the shrimp alfredo here to be some of the best pasta I have found anywhere save a true italian restaurant, meaning Italy. A wide variety on the menu, should suit almost any taste. A bar setting, and side bars, and tables, not a bad place at all to eat, and on a crowded evening, still not more than usually a 10 to 15 minute wait. Yes, the food is THAT good.

Vickie & jess are two of the best & most accommodating bar tenders I’ve ever had. We had a party of 15 for June jam aside from the many other occasions that we’ve packed our friends in there. They work awesome under pressure & always take care of us. The owners are also insanely nice. Hands down best owners, bartenders, servers, drinks, & food in Griffin. I LOVE this place! The decor is awesome too! Just an added bonus! Go there.

Had the experience of eating here a few months ago while I was in Georgia. Rarely does someone take the time to write a review after having dined so long ago but thinking of Griffin made me remember how wonderful the 6th St. was. As a Californian who has spent many years dining around the thousands of food micro cultures in my state, I found this upscale place in rural GA a perfect competitor to those on the left coast. The staff was well prepared to explain the menu and offer up their ideas of what might be the signature dish for our evening. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town!!!
