These folks are amazing! I found them through Trust Dale, which was big points right there. Customer service was great. They said they could send someone within the hour and sure enough he was here. Immaculately uniformed gentleman who was extremely knowledgeable, Luis did the service and the couple of repairs needed at a very fair price. Poor guy had to crawl under my house and he was so good about it. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. One of the best experiences I have ever had with a service/repair company. I cannot say enough good things. Thank you!
Ok, so now as of Dec 2023, I’m updating my post. I finally got to the point where I had to replace my system. I went with Shumate, and I could not be happier with my results. The new Trane system is cranking out the heat. The A/C will be great when needed, I’m sure. The install team were just fabulous. Right on time, very respectful of each other and their job. They made sure I knew how everything worked, and cleaned up every speck debris, of which there was a lot. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs service/maintenance, or system replacement.

We’ve used all of Shumate’s services – HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and handyman. They’re prompt, professional, and know what they’re doing. We just wrapped up a powder room renovation and they were here each step of the way for electrical, plumbing, and handyman services. I feel like we know most of the guys by name now (lol) but we trust them and will continue to call on them in the future!

We’ve been a Shumate client for many years and two homes! Their customer service is fantastic and their technicians are professional and are attentive to detail. This maintenance visit we had the i-wave installed in our system for air purification, and we couldn’t be happier with the decision! We’ve had the UV light system till now, but this is even better, and we won’t have to replace a bulb anymore! Fresh air in our home is great!! Wonderful service.

What a great bunch of professionals! There is nothing worse than having an old HVAC unit break down in the middle of a Georgia summer, but for two summers in a row that is exactly what has happened to me. Thank goodness for the great guys at shumate, that were not only able to find parts that fit my unit so that I didn’t have to buy a new one, but were pleasant, and professional in every way. I feel that the price that they charged was very reasonable, and they got that cold air blowing again quickly! Will not hesitate to use again, and refer friends to them often.

We are very happy with the service Shumate Mechanical provides. Our furnace was not keeping up with the extreme cold and Dennis came in and provided us with reasonable options to replace it. the technicians came in the next day and replaced the furnace on time and now we have heat again.

In March 2018 we hired Shumate to replace two very old furnace units in our house. In May 2018 we brought them back to replace two very old AC units. In both cases we were very impressed with the professionalism of the team of guys who showed up to do the work. They arrived on time, kept everything clean, and stayed until the work was completed. I cannot say enough good about our experience. These guys are the best!
I also want to put in a word about the “sales” guy, Shaun Hoover. Shaun is very knowledgeable and helped guide us through the options before providing a quote. In both cases Shumate stuck exactly to the quote even though I think they encountered some unexpected difficulties that caused extra effort.

My heat pump broke down and could not be repaired. Shumate dispatched Tommy Lee who evaluated my system last Friday, May 18, 2018. Tommy promised the new system would be installed Saturday morning. Indeed, the Shumate crew showed up and installed the new system, which has been up and running ever since without any issues. Besides, the price was reasonable. This is what I call reliable and dependable service.

We first used Shumate to replace our a/c and heat pump earlier this year. Great job…punctual, clean, and good communications. Because that worked out so well we then had them re-pipe our entire home, changing out the old polybutylene plumbing. We quickly recognized that Shumate takes great pride in being reliable and capable. Having now accumulated quite a few repeat customer “Shumate bucks”, we then had them install L/P gas lines throughout the house. Yes, we cashed in our Shumate bucks, paying less than half of what it would have cost. Sweet! Our next project in this home is to replace the hot water heater with a gas tankless system. Who do you think will be installing it?

I had my complete air conditioning heating system changed out by
Shumate and they did the whole job in about 3 hours and did not leave a mess job looks beautiful and so far works beautifully. I expected good work out of shumate because I have had them do my routine maintenance for several years now And was pleased with their work. However this job exceeded my expectations
