Southern Urgent Care is owned and operated by Arvin Ward PA-C, Yenney Meza MD, Boris Shklyar DO. All board certified and emergency medicine trained. Southern Urgent Care is a stand alone walk-in clinic with a full laboratory and digital radiology to help manage and treat a variety of acute illnesses.

SouthernUC is privately owned and operated by Arvin Ward PA-C, Yenney Meza MD, and Boris Shklyar DO. SouthernUC has three locations (Whitemarsh Island, Downtown Savannah, Murrells Inlet SC) and is not affiliated with Urgent Care 24/7, Urgent One, or Immediate Med. We do accept insurance and have very reasonable self pay rates.

We were here on vacation when my 9 year old became extremely ill. We were panicked and took her to southern urgent care on whitemarsh island. Cannot say enough great things about the staff here…the front desk clerk, doctor and medical assistants all took great care of her. They even called to check up on her. 100% recomme d!

Thursday was my son’s 16th birthday. He went kayak fishing and ended up with 16 slices on his feet thanks to an oyster bed. Being on vacation, we didn’t know where to take him to have his feet checked out. This place came highly recommended. It was very busy, but well worth the wait. They did a wonderful job cleaning up his feet and stitching it up. Thank you so much.

I had incredible pain Friday night and after having pain for over 5 days on my left foot Saturday morning I decided to take the excellent advice of my wife to get treatment at Southern Urgent Care on Whitemarsh Island off of HWY 80. Even though it was early Saturday morning the staff was very friendly. I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. I was also suffering from nausea and the staff quickly brought me something to eat which was way above service I have encountered in the health care industry.

Once I was evaluated by the staff my care was quickly transferred to PA-C Samantha Skrutvold who was a true professional and did a great job addressing my issue with my foot. PA Skrutvold and the staff were “Best in Class” I have dealt with in the area. I will be recommending Southern Urgent Care to my family and friends.Glad we have a great place that my family can go to in a time of need.

I avoided this place due to bad reviews. I ended up driving all over town sick as could be only to end up back here. The reason, they are the only urgent care on the islands that takes insurance and has X-ray. I was very pleased with my service. They did a thorough and excellent job. I even went back for more support and they didn’t charge me for the second visit.

Went in for a GI bug and needed IV fluids. The front desk pulled me back quickly and got me taken care of. Mr. Barrows, one of the PAs, was extremely kind, professional, and informative. Jennifer took care of my IV and vitals; she was very personable and efficient. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received.

I had a great experience here. They take insurance and do all labs, X-rays and testing. I needed to go back for an on-going asthma issue and wasn’t charged for my return visit.
